Fourteen lifelong learning (LLL) courses, designed and submitted by national academic partner institutions (P1: 4, P2: 4, P3: 6), have been accredited by the National Institute for Improvement of Education – ZUOV on 29 June 2022 for the period of the next three academic years, starting from the fall 2022.
The courses, developed by teachers from the Faculty of Music of the University of Arts in Belgrade (P1), the Academy of Arts of the University in Novi Sad (P2) and the Faculty of Philology and Arts of the University in Kragujevac (P3) in the framework of the DEMUSIS project, cover wide range of topics within three project thematic fields — those of digital competencies in music, music entrepreneurship and social engagement of academic musicians. To this extent, the courses pertaining to the first thematic field will deal with digital music literacy, classical music digital databases as tools for improving music classes, enhancement of digital competencies of solfeggio teachers, creating digital music matrix for children music performance, music education methods in digital environment, as well as digital tools for online music teaching and music education in general. Music entrepreneurship will be subject of 2 courses offered by the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac (P3). The ever bigger topicality of various issues related to the visibility and engagement of musicians in society, communication with audience through new and online media, was also recognized by both university teachers and their colleagues in primary and secondary music education, resulting in 4 courses offered in this field, ranging from addressing various issues of communication with audience in an online, live stage or (post)Covid-19 context, or else in dealing with specific audience such as vulnerable groups of all ages.
The list of all LLL courses approved and accredited by the National Institute for Improvement of Education is available on ZUOV website. The catalogue of all approved courses is in preparation and will be available in August 2022 at the latest.
Development, accreditation and implementation of LLL courses belongs to project work package 5, covering project’s specific objective B — continuing professional development for music professionals, aiming at improvement and enhancement of their digital and entrepreneurial skills.
