Annual Quality Assurance Group meeting held online on 8 December 2020

Annual Quality Assurance Group meeting with the external evaluator was held online on 8th December 2020.

In a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the Quality Assurance Group’s (QAG) annual work was reviewed. The QAG chair introduced the Annual Report for 2020, while the members of the Group presented and discussed individual short Quality Monitoring Reports for deliverables completed in 2020.

The external evaluation expressed his pleasure at recognizing that his suggestions from his previous meeting with the QAG were taken into account and implemented in quality assurance documents.

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the project implementation was particularly discussed, considering a number of possible options for mitigating the effects on the pandemic in terms of completing the delayed and postponed project activities. The decision on the measures for overcoming the consequences of the COVID-19 health crisis was to be made at the annual Project Management Board meeting on 10-11 December 2020. Besides the apparent negative effect of the pandemic on the realization of some project activities, some positives were nevertheless noted and remarked upon. The pandemic situation particularly increased the use of digital technologies and resources in music teaching and learning, facilitating in that way reaching one of the main project long-term goals – change of the students’ and teachers’ mindset.

In addition, the new and updated short Quality Monitoring Reports for deliverables 1.5, 2.5, 2.6, 3.1, 3.2, 5.1 and 7.1 were presented and adopted, along with updated Annexes I (Quality Checklist WP1-8) and IV (Internal Quality Monitoring Report Timetable) of the Project Quality Action Plan. The updated Project Quality Action Plan was subsequently adopted by the Project Management Board at the annual meeting 10-11 December 2020.
