Following the successful start of LLL courses in September, four more seminars for music professionals and teachers in pre-university music education were realized in the past month by teachers from the Academy of Arts University of Novi Sad (P2) and the Faculty of Philology and Arts University of Kragujevac (P3).
On October 29th Ira Prodanov, Nataša Crnjanski and Miloš Milojković, from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, conducted a seminar Artist on Stage: Gesture, Communication, Media in Music school “Isidor Bajić“ in Novi Sad. The course is focused on implementation of communication skills in preparing pupils and students for soloist, chamber music, orchestral and choir public performances, as well as in the media.
The implementation of 6 LLL courses developed by the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac started on 13 November, with the course Montessori method in solfeggio teaching: including music entrepreneurship in broadening teaching competencies, realized by Kristina Parezanović in Music School „Petar Kranjčević” in Sremska Mitrovica. The course objectives include educating teachers to apply Montessori methods in solfeggio teaching, development and use of didactic games and materials, including gesture in teaching, stimulating inner motivation of pupils, while framing these and other topics in the context of music entrepreneurship. The course will be done next in Music school „Nevena Popović“ in Grocka on 23 November.
Along with the in-presence ones, LLL online courses kicked off last week, also developed by teachers from the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac. Milorad Marinković opened with a course Digital arranging and production of audio and video materials for online music teaching and entertainment-educational platforms starting on 14th November. It focuses on skills and knowledge in making sound and music arrangements in digital format, using various software and digital tools, additionally introducing knowledge and practice in the field of audio, video and MIDI editing. It will be closely followed by another online seminar – Creating digital matrix for children music performance.
Other pcoming DEMUSIS LLL courses include Benefits of music in (daily) work with vulnerable groups in all age categories, developed by Milena Stanišić and Stana Krstajić from the Faculty of Music in Belgrade (P1) and addressing the importance and use of music in inclusive communication in work with marginalized and vulnerable groups, and Music entrepreneurship in music performance and music education by Duško Marić from the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac (P3) on the use of organisational, entrepreneurial and management skills in widening concert practice of music education institutions. These courses will kick off with implementation on 26 November in Music school “Vučković” in Belgrade and on 10 December Music school “Jovan Bandur” in Pančevo respectively.

Overall, fourteen lifelong learning courses were accredited for the three-year period (2022-2025) by the National Institute for Improvement of Education within the work package 5 of the DEMUSIS project.
